Foreword

The body binders in current market normally have problem of high viscosity or high thixotropy which will make the slurry too thick to discharge or easy to get corrosion then lessen or lose effect.Some binders don’t have evident effect,and some will affect the whiteness of body even cause sandwich or black heart body,seriously affect the product quality.In view of this,we developed new efficient body binder GA-43X which could avoid the above mentioned problems,and could increase the green strength of body effectively while will not influence the fluidity of slurry.

Advantages:

1.It has good solubility and no viscosity in water, hardly any influence on the slurry flow,that less STPP or water is needed ,save energy consumption of spray drier.

2.Could be applied to grind with body material or mix with slurry after grinding due to its good solubility,increase working range and efficiency.

3.Not easy to get corroded after long time application,and will not lessen or lose effect after 24hours’ application like lignin or cellulose.

4.Could obviously increase body strength,won’t cause sandwich or black heart body.It is environmental friendly product,no smell or dust,good for health of operators.

5.Could improve and lower thixotropic property of body slip,easy for slurry discharge and production control.

6.Could replace clay,lower clay proportion in formula and save material cost.Every adding of 0.1% could replace about 3% clay,and the body strength has great promotion both before and after drying.

7.Every adding of 0.2% could promote body whiteness by about 3 degrees,save use of whitening agent like zirconium silicate,even could improve colouration of full body tile ,save amount of pigment.

8.Due to reduction of clay,ignition of plastic clay will be lower,help to achieve fast firing in low temperature, increase kiln efficiency and save fuel.Moreover,as water content in clay is more difficult to evaporate,the reduction of clay could also help to reduce defects of body or glaze surface like pinhole.

9.After formula proportion adjustment by reducing clay,factory could save about 20% energy consumption on grinding,reduce 8% water content of slurry and 10% cost on powder making.

III.Application method:

Generally apply 0.1~0.3% of GA-43X to mill with ceramic raw material.Actual proportion also depends on  proportion of plastic material in formula and performance of press machine.

IV.Storage method and instruction:

Keep sealed ,store in dry and cool place.

The performance of body binder should be judged not only by testing its viscosity or flow speed of solution but also testing the strength of application in small body samples after drying.
